Tips on How to Control Your Temper

Everybody has temper.

Maybe even the most silent person.

For most people though they have learned to temper their temper as they age.

But there are also some who do not know how to tame their temper.

Can we really control our temper?

I would say yes!

At least most of the times.

I also flare up.

But I choose my moments.

It’s a waste of energy!

Here are some tips to manage your temper.

1. Hold your tongue.

Just don’t utter any word.

You might say something you might regret later on.

2. Take deep breaths.

This could bring you into a relaxed state.

3. Stop listening to whatever the other person is saying.

It’s difficult but it helps put your temper on hold.

4. Leave the room for a while.

If you stay put and continue hearing what the other person is saying you might be tempted to retaliate.

5. Listen to soothing music for a few minutes.

It helps you relax for a while.

6. Go out for a short walk.

A breath of fresh air will do you great.

It brings you back to reality.

And hopefully in a better mood.
