I heard this from a grandpa.
He’s a house painter.
I overheard him telling a friend that he has many projects.
And that he was already behind in finishing the house painting he has accepted because he was hospitalised.
That’s when he uttered “we do not work to die”.
While it is true that we need money to survive, we need also to listen to our bodies.
Money is not everything.
Is your body healthy?
Can it endure working how many hours a day?
Are you nurturing your body?
If not, consider starting now.
Do not work yourself to death.
Learn to appreciate things around you.
However simple they are.
And spend quality time with your family.
